Process for purchasing a Great Lake's Cockapoo

1.  Must fill out an application.  This is not a commitment to purchase, but rather a tool to help us know exactly what you are looking for and what traits are most important to your family and allows us to screen potential homes.

2.  A deposit must be placed to hold a puppy ($200).  This is non-refundable so be 100% positive that your family is ready for a puppy before you send a deposit.  It can be transferred to a future litter.  We will accept either a money order, cashiers check, or paypal, which will give you the option of using a credit card for the initial deposit.  When picking up your puppy, we ask you to bring cash or cashiers check.

3. The selection is done in the order in which deposits are received.  Selection begins at 6 weeks of age.  Photos will be taken at birth and then again every two weeks.  Selection can be made by phone, email, skype, or onsite. Half of the remaining balance is due at the time of selection.

Great Lakes Cockapoos reserves the right to keep up to 2 puppies from a litter.  This will not happen every time, but understand that it is a possibility and that selection will be first.

Costs

Great Lakes Cockapoo puppies are $1,850 regardless of size, gender or color.

If a puppy has a flat coat (coat resembling the cocker heritage), the cost will be $1,450.    The flat coat is usually non-shedding as well, but has a greater possibility to shed which is reflected in the cost.  Most pairings are done so that there will be no flat coats, however, every once in a while we may be looking for a genetic color combination in which we cannot avoid the chance.

Selection is done at 6 weeks because by this time coat development is evident.  Be wary of a breeder who wants you to select before the 6 week mark.  There are many changes in those first few weeks.

What to expect:

Puppy photos will be sent to those with a deposit weekly.
All puppies will:
      * have dew claws removed (tails will NOT be docked)
      * be microchipped
      * vet check complete
      * have 1st set of shots and up-to-date on deworming
      * 1 year congenital health guarantee (2 years with use of NuVet)
